If you take any of our LEED training classes you will most likely be in contact with Beka Rund, the Training Specialist for Sustainable Investment Group (SIG). Beka is responsible for providing our in-person class students with study materials and support. She also provides administrative support to other departments at SIG.
Beka graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a minor in European Union Studies. She especially enjoyed studying African History, Economics, and French. She also has a certificate in Leadership and Theology from Vineyard Institute.
Beka has 8 years of experience ranging from Finance Management and Office Management to Client Support. She enjoys all things that are administrative and organizational. Aside from her professional career, she offers her bookkeeping skills to a ministry in Nicaragua that is dear to her heart.
Beka has always been interested in environmental causes, she fervently remembers learning about the three R’s in elementary school: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. She is currently reducing her environmental footprint by recycling and cloth diapering her children, and she hopes to start composting and plant a vegetable garden this year.
Beka loves spending time with her daughter, son, husband, and two mischievous beagles. She is an Atlanta native, but she loves to travel. She has visited twenty-four states and traveled internationally to France, Italy, Mexico, and Nicaragua. She loves to listen to records, sew, and cook new recipes in her spare time.
